Location
Patagonia is a natural region located in the southern part of South America, covering almost one-third of the territories of Argentina and Chile. It consists of nearly 1,000,000 square kilometers of untouched land, scarcely explored and sparsely populated. It is a region rich in natural resources and of incomparable beauty, making it one of the most stunning places on the planet.
It begins near the 37th parallel and extends to the island of Tierra del Fuego, whose capital is Ushuaia—known as the end of the world—with its contrasting landscapes: to the west lies the Pacific Ocean; to the north and south runs the Andes Mountain Range; in the center is the extra-Andean Patagonia, a desert region with rocky plateaus and vast grasslands; to the east is the Atlantic Coast; and to the south, it reaches the main island of Tierra del Fuego.
What is the geography of Patagonia like?
Patagonia can be divided into three areas: Atlantic Patagonia, Andean Patagonia, and Southern Patagonia.
Atlantic Patagonia:
It features low, desert-like vegetation. The oceanic part is very rich: it is considered the area with the highest concentration of marine animals on the planet, with various penguins, whales, sea lions, and fur seals.
Andean Patagonia:
It is dominated by the Andes Mountains, with snow-capped peaks, forested regions, lakes, and glaciers.
Southern Patagonia:
This area encompasses the southernmost part of the South American continent, corresponding to the provinces of Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego in Argentina. It boasts countless natural wonders in a highly diverse landscape: high mountains, massive glaciers, and arid steppes, to name a few.

If you are traveling by car or motorcycle, you must carry all documents required in these countries. Check the consulate websites and arrange everything in advance.
What is the physical difficulty level of the tours?
Visiting most of the attractions during the excursions does not require any special physical preparation and is accessible to anyone in normal condition.
What should you bring on the tours?
During the day, bring a small backpack with the essentials for the tour: always carry water, lip balm, sunscreen, and an extra jacket.
What should I know about luggage?
The following is allowed:
-
One piece of luggage weighing up to 23 kg per passenger
-
One carry-on bag, with a maximum weight of 8 kg
Airports offer baggage sealing services, which consist of a plastic covering that helps prevent tampering with your luggage. Prices for this service vary depending on the airport.
Do not carry spray cans, deodorants, or perfumes in your carry-on luggage. All liquids are inspected and, in most cases, removed from carry-on bags. They should be taken out and packed in your checked luggage.
